The Huffaaz Taraweeh Programme
QiyamEvery masjid, a hafiz. Every hafiz, a mihrab.
قيام — لكل مسجدٍ حافظ، ولكل حافظٍ محراب
Every Ramadan, masjids search desperately for Taraweeh reciters while accomplished huffaaz sit minutes away, unknown to them. Qiyam is the bridge: a dedicated programme connecting Taraweeh reciters with the masjids and organisations that need them — matched properly, prepared properly, honoured properly.
Two Sides of One Search
Each Sha'ban the same scramble begins: committees ring around for "anyone who knows a hafiz", and huffaaz wait for an invitation that depends entirely on who they happen to know. Qiyam replaces the scramble with a system.
For Reciters
Huffaaz & Qurraa'
You carry the Quran. Qiyam carries you to a mihrab that fits:
- Tell us your riwayah, juz-per-night comfort, and how far you can travel
- A gentle recitation assessment places you honestly
- Get matched with a masjid whose needs fit yours — local first, further if you wish
- Clear agreements on dates, honorarium, and accommodation before you commit
For Masjids & Organisations
Committees & Imams
Stop hoping a name surfaces. Tell Qiyam what your mihrab needs:
- Full month or shared duty, complete khatm or juz-a-night
- Your preferred riwayah, style, and pace
- What you can offer — honorarium, accommodation, travel
- We propose reciters who actually fit, with time to confirm before Ramadan
How Qiyam Works
Register
Reciters and masjids sign up separately — you tell us what you can offer, or what your mihrab needs.
We Listen & Vet
Recitation reviewed, references checked, needs understood — on both sides of the mihrab.
Matched & Agreed
Introductions made early, expectations written down, everyone confirmed well before the moon is sighted.
Supported Through Ramadan
We stay reachable for the whole month — if anything changes, the mihrab never goes empty.
Questions Masjids & Huffaaz Ask
We need a Taraweeh reciter — how late is too late?
The best matches happen before Rajab ends, but masjids find themselves searching for a hafiz for Taraweeh right up to the first night. Register whenever you are — Qiyam exists to shorten exactly this search.
What does a Taraweeh hafiz expect to be paid?
It varies by country, month structure, and travel. What matters is that the conversation happens early and clearly — Qiyam puts honorarium, accommodation, and travel on the table at matching time, so neither side spends Ramadan feeling awkward.
Which riwayaat do Qiyam reciters cover?
Hafs 'an 'Asim most commonly — and we actively welcome huffaaz who recite Warsh, Qaloon, and other riwayaat, because their communities search hardest of all.
I'm a hafiz but I've never led Taraweeh. Can I still join?
Yes. Tell us honestly where you are; some masjids specifically want to give a first mihrab to a young hafiz with a senior reciter alongside. Qiyam matches for fit, not just fame.
Is this only for the UK?
No — Qiyam is worldwide. Matching starts local (your city, your country) and widens only as far as you want it to.
Register Your Interest
Hafiz or masjid — tell us who you are and what you need. The full Qiyam matching platform is being built now; early registrants are matched personally, first.
Please add your name and a valid email so we can reach you.
JazakAllahu khayran — received.
Your registration is with the Qiyam team. We reply personally, usually within a couple of days — and always with enough time before Ramadan.
Your details go only to the Qiyam team — never published, never shared beyond a proposed match.
