Tajweed Assessment
Structured Tajweed Testing for Students & Competitions
Consistent, structured Tajweed assessment — for madrasah students, competition entrants, and anyone whose recitation deserves more than a vague ‘good’. Clear standards, fair evaluation, and feedback reciters can actually use.
Coming soon. Our Tajweed assessment programme is currently in development, and we’re inviting a small number of early partners to help shape it. If you’d like to collaborate with us, we’d love to hear from you.
Tajweed, Measured
Fairly
Tajweed evaluation is where most assessments become inconsistent: two examiners, two opinions. Our approach gives institutions and competitions a common standard for makharij, rules of recitation, and fluency — the same discipline that underpins judging at our Quran competitions, applied to testing.
Use it to grade students in a maktab, screen entrants for a Tilawah contest, or run a dedicated Tajweed competition. It pairs naturally with Ikhtibar for classrooms and Tamheed for qualifiers.
How Tajweed Assessment Works
Step 1: Agree the Standard You Want
Step 2: We Structure the Assessment
Step 3: Reciters Are Heard Fairly
Step 4: Clear Grades, Useful Feedback
Step 5: Progress Tracked Over Time
A Common Standard
The end of examiner lottery:
- Agreed criteria: Makharij, rules, and fluency weighed the same way every time.
- Across examiners: Comparable results whoever is listening.
- Across time: This term’s grade means the same as last term’s.
Feedback That Teaches
More than a score:
- Specific, kind, useful: Reciters learn exactly what to polish.
- Encouragement first: Assessment that builds love of recitation.
- For teachers too: Patterns across a class, visible at a glance.
For Institutions
Madrasahs, schools, and hifz programmes:
- Termly testing: Structured Tajweed grading across year groups.
- Certificates & levels: Milestones students work towards.
- Zero admin: Teachers assess; reports appear.
For Competitions
The screening layer contests need:
- Entry assessment: Tajweed screening before the main event.
- Dedicated contests: Tajweed competitions in their own right.
- Category placement: Reciters matched to the right level.
Every Style Welcome
Recitation in all its forms:
- Tarteel to Tahqeeq: Assessment across recitation speeds and styles.
- Riwayah aware: Standards that respect the reading being recited.
- All ages: From beginners to advanced reciters.
Part of the Family
Stronger connected:
- With Ikhtibar: Tajweed inside your maktab testing.
- With Tamheed: Qualify entrants on recitation quality.
- With our service: Assessment delivered end to end.
